MCB turns 5...
Milton Concert Band has a lot to celebrate. Since the group began in February 2007, they have performed more than 35 times, doubled their membership, and established themselves as one of the most innovative and hard working community concert bands in Canada.
With conductor Joseph Resendes leading the way, the group has partnered with guests like Troy Sexton of STOMP, local choirs, and even surprised their audience by inviting the UTM Choir to stage a flash mob in the midst of a concert. MCB delights in offering its audience an eclectic mix of music ranging from Broadway to Big Band, Classic to Contemporary.
...and invites you to the party
To celebrate MCB is throwing a Birthday Bash on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 3-6pm at the Milton Sports Centre Banquet Hall.
This free open house will feature performances by Milton Concert Band and the MCB Swing Ensemble, a cake cutting ceremony led by (Milton) Mayor Gordon Krantz, and a free cupcake for the first 200 attendees courtesy of flourgirls.
We cannot wait to see what the next 5 years bring!
